Mirko Slomka has once again stressed that he has received no offer from Bayern Munich to take charge at the Allianz Arena.
Speculation about the former Schalke coach’s future has been rife since June, with many tipping him to replace Jupp Heynckes once the Bayern boss’s deal expires at the end of the current season.
“There has been no contract offer from Bayern Munich to me,” he told LIGA Total following Hannover’s 3-1 Bundesliga defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Preparation for their Europa League clash away to Helsingborgs was at the forefront of Slomka’s mind, as he told reporters his side “wish to prepare in peace”, in a bid to avoid more questioning regarding his future.
Hannover currently sit in sixth spot in the Bundesliga, some 13 points behind leaders Bayern who have won all of their eight games this season.
