Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is hoping that his side can cause problems for Bayern Munich ahead of their clash on Saturday.
Dortmund are the reigning Bundesliga champions, however, after just 14 rounds they currently find themselves 11 points behind the runaway league leaders.
Nevertheless, Klopp is positive that his team – who have a great record in the Bundesliga against the Bavarians – will give the German title favourites a hard time.
“We have the possibility to cause Bayern some trouble. We beat them five times in the league but we lost in the Super Cup,” Klopp told a press conference.
The German tactician believes that his side’s defeat in that pre-season match was evidence that Bayern are a different team this season.
“We tried to play our game that match, but they were so aggressive and we really felt what it means to play against them this year,” he continued.
“Anyway, if we can put all our quality on the pitch, we will see. There are not many clubs in the Bundesliga that are as difficult to play against as us. That is our task.
The 45-year-old did admit though that Dortmund are underdogs heading into the game.
“There are no guarantees for a good result. Of course, Bayern are favourites. They are playing at home and they are 11 points clear,” he added.
“It seems as if they have played well all season. But, we have a duty to go there and make it difficult for them and that is what makes this match interesting.”
