Bayern Munich defender Dante cannot wait to face his former club Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.
The 29-year-old has been in impressive form since he arrived at the Bavarians in the summer and has established himself as a regular in the starting XI.
And he is keen to go up against his former team-mates in the Bundesliga fixture at the Allianz Arena.
“It is definitely a special game for me. My time at Gladbach was what opened the door to Bayern in the first place,” he told the official club website.
“We are in good shape and want to round off the first half of the season with a win.”
His performances have also delighted his boss Jupp Heynckes, who has been full of praise for his Brazilian, saying: “If Dante is fit and healthy, he plays.”
The South American has expressed his happiness with playing for the club at the moment and insists that not even the freezing conditions are enough to stop his form.
He added: “I am fine with it, it is perfectly okay.”
