Former Germany international Michael Ballack has claimed that neither Jupp Heynckes nor Robin Dutt treated him fairly during his second spell at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 36-year-old was released in the summer by the Werkself, having been frozen out and scapegoated by the club’s management, and subsequently called time on his career.
“The relationship with Heynckes was distant from the first day. It seemed as though someone told him last minute that Michael Ballack was coming to Leverkusen,” he told 11 Freunde.
“[Dutt] obviously had ideas other than to work with me from the outset. At least he has expressed this in interviews,” he added.
The midfielder won 98 caps for Germany u=and represented Bayern Munich, Kaiserslautern and Chelsea as well as Leverkusen at club level.
