Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has revealed that he believes the German giants are as good as Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The France international admitted that the club’s decision to bring in Pep Guardiola as the team’s new coach in the summer means they are now amongst the top three sides in world football.
“Guardiola is Guardiola. His arrival shows that Bayern are not just any other club,” he told L’Equipe.
“If you can sign Guardiola then you are at the top level. Bayern is one of the three best clubs in the world, along with Madrid and Barca.
“It was logical for the club to announce Guardiola’s signing when they did, for the rumours that surrounded him and our club.”
The 29-year-old also praised current trainer Jupp Heynckes and reaffirmed his stance that he wants to remain with the Bundesliga leaders until the end of his career.
He added: “Heynckes restored my confidence at Bayern, I do not believe I will be leaving this team.”
