The promising youngster was over the moon with his first-team debut on Saturday, even though he needed some time to find his feet after coming off the bench
Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg has voiced his delight with his debut for Bayern Munich in the 4-0 league win over Nurnberg at the weekend.
The 17-year-old came off the bench with 20 minutes to go to become the youngest Bundesliga player in Bayern’s history and the Danish midfielder has stressed it was a dream come true to make his first-team debut.
“To be honest, I was really wetting myself,” Hojbjerg was quoted as saying on the official Bayern website.
“It’s unbelievable, a dream. I still can’t believe it’s true. I keep having to pinch myself.
“After about five minutes I got on the ball a couple of times, and that helped me calm down.”
Hojbjerg joined the Bayern youth academy from Brondby in the summer of 2011.
