The Borussia Dortmund boss is adamant that his side will put up a better fight that the Italian and Spanish giants in the Champions League final
Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is convinced his side will not be humiliated against Bayern Munich as Juventus and Barcelona were in previous rounds of the Champions League.
The Bavarians defeated the Turin giants 4-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals of the competition, before thrashing Tito Vilanova’s men 7-0 over two legs, but the BVB trainer is confident his side will fare better in the final.
“Bayern kicked Barca and Juve out of the stadium, they could hardly find the exit,” the two-time Bundesliga winner told Kicker.
“That isn’t possible with us. We are an unpleasant opponent for every team on this planet.”
The 45-year-old went on to say that his side are the underdogs in the final against Bayern, but will make the most of their chance to replicate their 1997 continental triumph.
“We have nothing to lose at all. If Bayern are clever, they would agree,” he continued.
“On May 25 the title is up for the grabs, and that’s everything that matters. We should take care of that, instead of thinking about losing.”
Dortmund defeated Bayern 5-2 in the final of last season’s DFB-Pokal final.
