Who will be the star of the Champions League final?

As Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich descend on Wembley to face off for Europe’s biggest prize, Goal wants to know who you think will be the man to define the game

POLL

After a series of impressive performances to get this far, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich arrive at Wembley to contest the Champions League final.

For the first time in the competition, the final two both hail from Germany – and both have plenty of key men who could be set to light up London with a big effort when it matters.

Robert Lewandowski‘s devastating four-goal haul against Real Madrid in the semi-final marks him out as Dortmund’s most dangerous forward player, especially with Bayern-bound attacking midfielder Mario Gotze out injured, but can Mario Mandzukic offer a masterclass of his own up front for die Roten?

Even without Gotze, however, there is no shortage of talent behind the strikers. Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller are among the most decisive attacking players in the world while, for BVB, Marco Reus is capable of great things.

Maybe the power and precision of Bastian Schweinsteiger or Ilkay Gundogan‘s class strikes you as the key ingredient in a closely contested midfield battle.

With Bayern coming into the game as favourites, however, there may be room for a hero at the back for Dortmund. Perhaps defender Mats Hummels or goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller could have the all-important influence in holding back the Bundesliga champions.
