The Switzerland international is optimistic about his side’s chances of winning silverware this campaign but concedes they are feeling the pressure
Xherdan Shaqiri feels Bayern Munich are on track to have yet another successful season after their historic treble win in 2012-13.
Pep Guardiola’s side currently sit joint first in the Bundesliga table with 16 points from six games, while they have also been in fine form in the Champions League and DFB Pokal, much to the delight of Shaqiri.
“Things are getting better and better,” the Switzerland international told Bild.
“We are on the right track to have yet another super season.”
However, the versatile attacker did admit that Bayern are feeling the pressure after last season’s historic treble.
“Everybody wants more and more. It’s not enough anymore to win a game 1-0. If we don’t win all titles this season…” he added.
Bayern lock horns with Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon as they aim to extend their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga.
