The retired midfielder – who played for both clubs during his career – gave a running commentary on the game on Twitter as part of Heineken’s ‘Share The Sofa’ evening
Bayern Munich were dominant in their 3-1 win over Manchester City on Wednesday and a former midfielder of both clubs, Owen Hargreaves, was left purring over the performance of Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 32-year-old tweeted his thoughts on the game for Heineken throughout the encounter, as part of their ‘#ShareTheSofa’ night, hailing the cohesion and penetration of the reigning Champions League holders at the Etihad Stadium.
Goal compiled a list of our favourite tweets from the Englishman during and after the game, including his selection of the best players he’s played with and against and why he doesn’t thing Franck Ribery should win the Ballon d’Or.
