Neuer warns Bayern's rivals: 'Pep not finished with us yet'

The 27-year-old goalkeeper says that the Bavarians are getting better and better under their new coach and could easily retain their European crown

Manuel Neuer has delivered a warning to Bayern Munich’s rivals by insisting there is more to come from the Champions League holders.

The Bavarians followed last year’s treble with a record-breaking start to this campaign, which also included December’s triumph at the Club World Cup, and their first-choice goalkeeper believes the team will continue to improve as they adjust to new coach Pep Guardiola’s coaching methods.

“We’ve only had half a year with Pep,” Neuer told media sources at the club’s training camp in Doha.

“We are still hungry and want to learn. Pep is not finished with us yet.”

Since Guardiola’s summer arrival at the Allianz Arena, Bayern have dropped just four points during an unbeaten start to their Bundesliga title defence.

Team success has been mirrored by Neuer’s personal achievements, with the German international keeping nine clean sheets in just 16 league matches.
