The Switzerland international has dismissed rumours that he has set his sights on a move away from the Champions League holders
Xherdan Shaqiri has insisted that he is happy with life at Bayern Munich and has no intention of leaving any time soon.
The Switzerland international’s brother – and agent – Erdin said last week that the winger would be open to a summer transfer if a club like Manchester United, Liverpool or Inter came calling, fuelling speculation that Shaqiri is on his way out of Bayern.
Nevertheless, the 22-year-old has now made it clear that a transfer is not on his mind for now.
“I never said that I want to leave Bayern Munich,” Shaqiri told Sport1.
“I am feeling very well here and I am not thinking about leaving.
“My brother just gave his opinion, although he was also slightly misquoted.
“Of course, if a major club were to make a move, you consider it, any player would do the same.”
Shaqiri has a contract with Bayern until the summer of 2016.
