Bayern Munich 5-2 Werder Bremen: Pizarro inspires barnstorming Bavarian comeback

Claudio Pizarro struck twice as Bayern Munich produced a sensational second-half display to defeat Werder Bremen 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Theodor Gebre Selassie opened the scoring after just 10 minutes of play and although Franck Ribery replied for the Bundesliga champions, Aaron Hunt sent the visitors in 2-1 up at the interval.

However, Pizarro then netted twice in the space of four minutes to turn the game on its head, and Bayern ultimately ran out comfortable winners thanks to subsequent strikes from Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben.
