The Spaniard has denied that he has an obsession with Europe’s top tournament but admits that winning it would be a “dream”
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has admitted that his CV is missing a Champions League winners’ medal.
The Spaniard has won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the World Cup and the European Championship during his career, but is yet to triumph in the continent’s top club tournament.
However, Madrid are on the brink of their first final for 12 years as they hold a 1-0 semi-final lead over Bayern Munich and Ramos is eager to win the competition.
“For me, it is a dream to win the Champions League,” he told Uefa’s official website.
“I am very lucky to have won nearly every title at a professional level, but there is still the Champions League to win.
“In no way has it ever been an obsession or a special love, but when there is something missing from your CV, it grabs your attention.
“It means a bit more. It’s not a constant obsession, but it would be a dream come true. To finally lift the trophy would be very satisfying.”
