The German winger says Dortmund are brave and don’t fear Bayern like most Bundesliga teams do but feels they will have to double up on the Netherlands winger
Borussia Dortmund’s Kevin Grosskreutz has singled out Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben ahead of Saturday’s DFB-Pokal final, labelling him “world class”.
Pep Guardiola’s side meet Dortmund on Saturday as they look to record a domestic double following their Bundesliga success.
Although Dortmund inflicted a 3-0 defeat upon the Bavarian giants in the Allianz Arena last month, Grosskreutz is wary of the threat Bayern pose and insists Robben is the main threat.
“Robben is a world-class player,” he told Kicker. “He can, as we know from experience, decide a game on his own.
“To stop him, you have to double him. I always track back a lot and help my colleagues I know how Robben plays on his side and we will support, for example, Marcel Schmelzer as best we can.”
The German winger added that BVB will have to be compact and clinical if they are to beat their rivals and says Dormtund don’t fear Bayern like most teams in the Bundesliga.
“To be compact and finish our counter-attacks with the same precision as we did five weeks ago would be very helpful.
“In the Bundesliga, there aren’t many brave teams when they are dealing with Bayern. We play brave, we are not afraid, we do our thing.”
