Bundesliga Team of the Week: Dortmund dominate after thrashing Bayern

No fewer than five BVB stars make our weekly XI after Jurgen Klopp’s side claimed a brilliant 3-0 win over the Bavarians

All eyes were on the Allianz Arena this weekend as Borussia Dortmund took on Bayern Munich and produced a brilliant performance to beat the Bavarians 3-0 on their own turf. Unsuprisingly, Jurgen Klopp’s men dominate Goal‘s Team of the Week.

The first name of the team sheet is Eintracht Frankfurt keeper Kevin Trapp. The Hessians may have lost 2-0 to Schalke on Friday, but the German made some great saves to keep his side in contention.

Mainz recorded a brilliant 3-0 win over Werder Bremen and Zdenek Pospech and Nikolce Noveski get the nod in defence alongside Dortmund duo Erik Durm and Mats Hummels, both absolutely key to their side’s victory.

Wolfsburg thrashed Nurnberg 4-1 with Kevin De Bruyne setting up two and Ivan Perisic netting a double, while Lars Stindl helped heap more misery on Hamburg by scoring the opening goal in Hannover’s 2-1 win. Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan complete the midfield after scoring at the Allianz Arena.

The final name on the team sheet is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who performed brilliantly up front for BVB in their best Bundesliga showing this season.
