Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery will miss Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga meeting with Werder Bremen on Saturday through injury.
Robben lasted just 19 minutes of Bayern’s 7-0 Champions League demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, while Ribery hobbled off shortly before the hour.
The Netherlands international is suffering from a trapped nerve and Ribery has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle. It is as yet unclear how long either winger will be sidelined.
Robben has been a key figure for Bayern so far in 2014-15, scoring 17 goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Ribery, who missed the World Cup with a back problem, has been plagued by injuries this term and has started just nine league games so far.
In a further blow for Bayern ahead of the trip to Bremen, head coach Pep Guardiola will also have to make do without the suspended Xabi Alonso, while long-term absentees Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara remain unavailable due to injury.
Bayern are 11 points clear of Wolfsburg at the top of the Bundesliga, though, and hold a 20-point advantage over third-placed Borussia Monchengladbach.
