The Brazil international has recently been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena but the German champions have moved to deny their interest
Sporting director Matthias Sammer has dismissed suggestions that Bayern Munich are preparing a move for Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino.
The Brazil international has developed into one of the undisputed stars of the Bundesliga and has allegedly caught the attention of clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern this season.
However, the reigning Bundesliga champions have made it clear that the 23-year-old is not one of their transfer targets at this stage.
“Firmino is a great player,” admitted Sammer to Bild.
“But these stories have originated with his agent [Roger Wittmann].
“We are not interested in signing Firmino.”
The attacking midfielder joined Hoffenheim from Figueirense in January 2011 and has since made over 100 Bundesliga appearances for the Sinsheim side.
Firmino has netted six goals in 24 league appearances so far this term, while creating seven more.
He has a contract with Hoffenheim until June 2017, but the club recently revealed they would be willing to cash in on their star man if an offer in the region of €30 million came in.
