Pep parks the bus? Bayern Munich break down on way to Bremen

The Bundesliga champions had their journey to Werder Bremen momentarily delayed as the team coach suffered was forced to refuel five minutes from the Weserstadion

Bayern Munich may be cruising towards another Bundesliga title, but their journey hit a glitch on Saturday as the team bus broke down en route to the Weserstadion for their clash with Werder Bremen.

Two members of staff were forced to manually refuel the coach after it ran out of petrol in just five minutes from the venue in Bremen.

“Our tank was full”, said the club via its official Twitter account, but it lacked the “special mixture”.

The reigning German champions suffered no major interruptions for their preparations and arrived on time for what they hope will be their sixth consecutive Bundesliga victory.

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was rested for the clash with eighth-placed Werder, leaving Spain’s Pepe Reina to make his Bundesliga debut and become the first goalkeeper in history to play in the top division of Spain, England, Italy and Germany.
