Robben limps off out of Bayern clash

The attacker made his first appearance in over a month when he came on in the DFB-Pokal semi final but another injury saw him replaced after just 14 minutes

Arjen Robben’s injury woes look set to continue as he limped out of Bayern Munich’s DFB-Pokal tie against Borussia Dortmund.

The Dutch attacker was brought on 70 minutes into the semi-final at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday when he replaced Thiago Alcantara, making his return from over a month on the sidelines due to an abdominal injury.

However, the 31-year-old had to be replaced by Mario Gotze on the 84th minute after he suffered another injury off the ball.

Robben appeared to be complaining about a problem with his thigh and was quickly taken off and immediately headed down the tunnel.

The Netherlands international, who has scored 19 goals in 29 games in all competitions this season, could now be set to miss his side’s upcoming Champions League semi-final with Barcelona.
