The Brazil international says his Wolfsburg team-mate can go right to the top of the game and insists there are few better places to be than the Allianz Arena
Luiz Gustavo says his Wolfsburg team-mate Kevin De Bruyne has what it takes to make the grade at Bayern Munich.
Belgium international De Bruyne joined the Bundesliga side in a €21 million move from Chelsea in January 2014 and is being linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs after a season which has seen him hit 15 goals and more than 20 assists.
And former Bayern midfielder Luiz Gustavo believes the 23-year-old can go to the very top.
“He has to know himself what he wants to do, but I can assure him that there are not many better clubs out there than Bayern Munich,” the Brazil international told Kicker .
“Kevin is a very good player who will join one of the biggest clubs in the world one day. I am sure he could make it at Bayern.”
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to be interested in De Bruyne, with his agent claiming all three clubs have made informal approaches for his client.
“Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have made informal contact with me, but there have been no official offer,” Patrick De Koster told talkSPORT.
“I will know if they want to offer a Kevin a new deal or allow him to move. If Wolfsburg decide to sell Kevin then he will have a choice of clubs who can win their domestic league and challenge for the Champions League as well. The choice is his.”
