My future lies with Lazio – Felipe Anderson

The Brazilian insists he is going nowhere after recently signing a five-year deal to remain in Rome

Felipe Anderson insists his future lies with Lazio despite reports recently linking him with a possible move to Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews in 2014-15 following a string of outstanding performances as the Biancocelesti secured a place in August’s Champions League play-off round.

And despite his stellar displays having drawn admiring glances from some of Europe’s top clubs, the Brazilian says he will be staying at the Stadio Olimpico.

“What I know about my future is that I will play with Lazio, and I have recently renewed my contract for another five years,” Felipe Anderson told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it.

“I am focused only on Lazio, I don’t think of anything else. I don’t know of any other offer, my future is at Lazio.”

The Brazil Under-21 star has not been called up by Dunga for the senior national side’s Copa America campaign this summer despite having joined the squad recently ahead of their warm-up fixtures for the tournament.

But the player has a looming target as far as his international prospects are concerned.

“My goal is to be at the 2016 Olympics,” he added. “After the opportunity I had with the national team I am even more motivated just to train I think. The Olympics is a very important competition and winning a medal would be great, something I have dreamt about a lot.

“But now I want to enjoy this golden opportunity and just focus on my training.”
