Bayern Munich – Borussia Dortmund Betting Preview: German giants almost certainly guarantee goals

Runaway German Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich will look to consolidate their place at the top of the table when they meet last season’s champions Borussia Dortmund in what promises to be a thrilling clash at Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

Jupp Heynckes’ men have been in absolutely blistering form in the league, having dropped just five points in 14 Bundesliga matches and it is no surprise to see the Bavarian giants chalked up as favourites at 77/100 (1.77) with Marathon Bet to pick up yet another victory at the weekend.

Borussia Dortmund, though, have been particularly impressive in the Champions League this term and Jurgen Klopp’s men will not be keen to relinquish their grip on the title without a fight.

Dortmund are rated as a 15/4 (4.75) chance with Marathon Bet to take victory while the same firm go 3/1 (4.0) that the match ends in a draw.

Bayern Munich have slipped up just once on home turf this season, losing out 2-1 to second-placed Bayer Leverkusen but, otherwise, Heynckes’ side have been in imperious form, scoring an impressive 22 goals in just seven matches with only four against.

Dortmund, though, possess plenty of attacking prowess with the likes of Marco Reus, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze all likely to take their place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up this weekend and so, the defending champions will feel confident of breaching the Munich defence here.

It is also worth noting that only Dortmund have collected more points than Bayern in the last six matches and both teams are sure to come into this clash with confidence soaring.

Goals, then, seem almost inevitable and Marathon Bet’s 33/50 (1.66) quote for three or more goals to be scored here looks to be nailed on as does the 14/25 (1.56) from the same firm for goals to be scored in both halves.

Those seeking better value, though, may be tempted by the outstanding 7/5 (2.40) quote from Marathon Bet for the free-scoring hosts to score in both halves here while the chunky 37/10 (4.70) for Jupp Heynckes’ men to win both halves is also worthy of support.
