Robben: Guardiola will fit in well at Bayern

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben believes Pep Guardiola is a fine “fit” to take over from Jupp Heynckes as head coach at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

The former Barcelona boss ignored overtures from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City in favour of last year’s Champions League runners up, and it was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon the Spaniard had signed a three-year deal with die Roten.

“I heard his name on Tuesday on the radio, while I was at the club having a massage,” Robben told Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad.

“But you do not know as a player whether or not it is true. You think, it could be a stunt, because he could go anywhere.

“I think it is a very interesting choice and I think at first glance Guardiola may fit well at Bayern.

“He is an adventurous and attacking coach, who fits at a club that shows guts.”
