Bayern will go into this game confident they can once again overcome RB Leipzig, after they were triumphant over their rivals in the DFB Cup on penalties. Leipzig have offered a different type of challenge to Bayern since they put themselves up for the title last season, only to succumb to Bayern’s ultimate strength.
With a number of the players playing 120 minutes in mid-week, Jupp Heynckes is expected to make a few changes to refresh his lineup. Leipzig sit one point behind Bayern in the league, so this is expected to be a tense battle.
Here’s how Bayern could line up…?
Goalkeeper

Ulreich26
?Sven Ulreich will continue in goal, replacing the injured Manuel Neuer who is expected to be out until the New Year. Ulreich has performed well in place of the German number one, keeping three clean sheets in six league games. Although Bayern fans will be hoping to have Neuer back sooner rather than later.
Defence

Hummels5
-
Alaba27
Bayern’s back-line has been solid once again this season, and they have possibly the best strength in depth in that area of any team in world football. Jerome Boateng and Matts Hummels both played 120 minutes in midweek, so expect Niklas Süle ?to come in for one of them. Kimmich and Alaba will continue at full-back.
Midfield
Bayern’s midfield boasts a wealth of experience, youth and flair. The arrival of Corentin Tolisso seems to be a positive one, as the former Lyon man has adapted well to life in Germany to put in a number of solid performances. He’s likely to sit in with Arturo Vidal, while Arjen Robben, Thiago and Kingsley Coman make up the attacking trio of the midfield. ?

Lewandowski9
?Up top, no one is going to replace Robert Lewandowski. With nine games in nine goals, he sits only behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Bundesliga scoring charts, showing his consistency. The Polish international hasn’t scored in any of Bayern’s last three games, so he’ll be hoping to break that unwanted streak with a couple of goals against RB Leipzig
